In 1786 lord G. S. Neumann bought the original property and built on its place the now still exisiting palace complex. Since 1795 this classical court represents residential architecture, typical for this period at Silesia.
Tradition says that Napoleon´s french troops hid part of “war cash” in Wiechlice village while returning from the war. Some people claim that lord von Neumann found this "treasure" and was able to build Palac Wiechlice only thanks to these funds. The name of the architect of Palac Wiechlice remains unknown.
Till World War II this palace complex was one of the most beautiful places in south-western Poland. After the War however it got neglected and declined rapidly.
In 2007, Palac Wiechlice was bought by a new private owner who renovated it completely and turned it into a beautiful unique hotel. He has put a lot of effort into reconstructing its former beauty in accordance with its original german architecture style, using natural, mineral elements.
In the renovated buildings and in the annexes there are calcareous plasters, windows and doors were painted with ecological paint, the wooden floor is natural oil and wax.
Palac Wiechlice was created to provide guests with endless pleasure. In addition, all rooms are equipped with modern LED TVs 42”, wireless Internet and telephone.
